Using a UPS for Canon Pro Printers?

Hello all,

I'm thinking of buying a home style pro printer as a serious photography hobbyist and most probably will start with a Canon Pro 100s.

The thing is, I'm quite freaked out because of the cleaning cycles these machines do. And that is not because me saying that I wouldn't use the printer as frequently as I should, but me living in an area where power outage is a serious issue. It is quite a regular thing, happens like once or twice per month.

So the only way I could ever buy a printer at home, would be buying a UPS along with it and making sure the printer is on/on sleep all the time.

Do you have any experience on using printers with a UPS? Would that work? What should be the capacity for a Canon Pro 100s?

Thanks in advance!
