older Tamron 200-500 compared to the 150-600"C" Sigma

It was suggested that I repost this question in this forum. So here goes.

I have a Tamron 200-500mm SP AF DI LD IF f 5.0-6.3 (older 2007 lens) and am considering the Sigma 150-600mm "C" style zoom. I can't seem to find a comparison of these zooms.

Is the Sigma a big step in quality better? I normally shoot on a tripod so VR of the Sigma won't help. Is the Sigma sharper? I am shooting with a Nikon D810.
