Hi Beespeckled, that sounds like you are really enjoying the x-t100, nice work
I'm using this camera like I do the X10. I'm liking the 15-45 lens so far. I'm getting used to the barrel turn for extending focal length, but am finding I use the 15mm end of lens most of the time. I haven't done much with the manual focus, since I'm finding AF fine for what I've been doing.
I'm used to the a77 EVF (which is pretty good) and find the EVF on the X-T100 about the same. Responsiveness seems OK. Battery life is good for my purposes, but I will get a spare and would like a separate charger as well in the future.
I'm still not familiar with some of the menu features, it is slightly different and of course more options than with my X100 or X10. I mainly want to adjust ISO, and shutter speed. I've been very pleased with close-ups and landscape shots. Some of the low light indoor shots maybe not as much, but I wasn't expecting low light wow with this lens either. I haven't tried any action shots, but didn't get this camera for that type of shooting. This is meant to be my all purpose travel companion.
My only negative so far: I like having the fold out LCD but it does seem a bit delicate and fiddly after using the Sony versions on my a33 & a77. Those fold all the way against the back of the camera, so that if you don't want to use the LCD, the screen is actually against the camera body protecting it.
I've added the ThinkTank Mirrorless Mover 20, which is about perfect my setup with this camera. I like that I can use it as a purse, have room for my cell and other basics when out and about.
When I went on vacation a few weeks ago, other than my cell, I only brought the X-t100. I did not miss my other gear.
I really like the colors and tones I'm getting from this setup. Thumbs Up
