I'm sorry folks but I don't even know if this is the correct thread to ask for help here and this is the very first time I post here. I have the Galaxy S6 Edge Plus and I'm selling it because I got another phone.

My question is this: I already reset the phone to factory default but when I go to SETTINGS/ABOUT PHONE I still see my phone number there and I cannot figure out how to remove that info. I press Edit but it does absolutely nothing.

Is this something only the Verizon store can remove from my phone? I called my local Verizon store but they put me on hold over 15 minutes so I hung up. I will appreciate your help.

Thank you

is this after you have removed your SIM? if so then take it to the store.

what is a SIM? What am I supposed to do with it?

thanks

If you take the SIM card out, I was wondering if the SIM card is still in the phone may be reading the telephone number no. from it. Hence me asking is the telephone no. still showing while the SIM card is removed from the phone?

aaah yes I guess it is still inside the phone. If I sell it am I supposed to remove it and not give it to the new buyer? I know the phone has 64GB is the memory the same thing as the SIM card?

No. The SIM card is a tiny card that provides you connection to the mobile provider's network. You'll need to insert that SIM into your new device to transfer service. The buyer of your device will need to insert his/her SIM to use it. The phone is likely reading the number from the SIM card.

I see so I’ll remove my SIM card and after that it shouldn’t show my phone number anymore under About Phone.

thank you everyone for your help
