My thoughts on this is that if you have too many AF Points, each of the AF points can only be so big so it might limit sensitivity. Too many AF points might also slow down the processing of those points....I am looking forward to the Z6 half as much AF points, better sensitivity and most likely more responsive to changing subject location and faster processing and reaction, in theory...however, this can be artificially "crippled" so as to not diminish specsmanship vs current products such as Z7, D850, D500 and D5?
