Why a speed booster at all ?

The op is about an adapter in the way the EF to M works, nothing about speedbooster.

2mm is not much for an adapter but I don't think it is impossible

Not a "speedbooster" per se, but the construction of having a lens in the middle of the  adapter. This wouldn't expand the image as a speedboster would, but simply shift the focus point to the focal plane of the M.
