Seems like with the new options to put Sigma, Leica or Panasonic L bodies on a wide range of lenses that the digital photography world may open up on a new way.

I have always wanted one set of lenses I could use with different camera backs, and have standardized for the most part on Nikon F mount lenses. This lets me use them on the Sony A7rii, Sigma SD1M (with mount change) and Nikon D810 with ease.

This new strategy, combined with a Full Frame Foveon would allow me to cut the number of bodies to two (Panasonic and Sigma) to cover all the bases.

I am excited about this prospect, particularly as the mirrorless cameras will allow the use of all the other lenses with adapters. Well done Ligmasonic!

Me too. Perhaps we will see the day when there is an adapter for the tasty small Leica M lenses on Full Frame Foveon. We shall see.

That adapter already exists.

Adapters for electronically controlled lenses such as recent Nikkors will be more difficult.
