How to print big newborn portrait

How to print big newborn portrait

Hello, fellow togs!

I had a shoot with a friend's little girl last week and imho the pictures turned out really nice. So my idea was to offer them if they want a big print (which I think they have mentioned) to do it through me so I make a little something from it and at the same time it gives me an opportunity to test the printing services.

So my question is since I have never printed that big really, what style looks best for skin tones/portraits on the wall? Canvas, paper, metal, mounted, framed, lustre, metallic, matte, glossy???

I was going to use the print service from my page on Smugmug.com which is supposed to be pretty good. (I think they use Bayphoto by default).
