I use a Nikon D5300 with an 18-140mm zoom (I know, not pro equipment, but hey, I’m just a hobbyist) and when I take a picture at dusk where there are street lights or other city lights, I get these prominent streaks that branch out 11 o’clock and 5 clock, either side of the lamp or light in the image. See attached sample.
I looked back at some similar shots from a few years ago when I had a D700 and 16-35 (pro equip) and that streaking effect was not present in those shots.
is there some sort of leak or defect in the cheapo lens I’m using that would cause this? Adivice appreciated.
