How can I tell if OSS is working?

Hello,

I purchased a Sony 10-18 f/4 USED and everything about the lens appears in amazing condition. I'm just wondering how can I tell if the OSS is damaged. I have the a6500 so it already has IBIS and being a wide angle I find it hard to tell if IBIS+OSS are making my videos more steady.

I heard once "steady shot" is turned on, both IBIS+OSS are switched on (you cant turn only one of them on/off)??

Also, anything else I should investigate with a used lens? AF seems to work quickly+accurately, silent AF, back/front elements look clean, zoom ring+focus ring work. I haven't had a lot of time to heavily test the lens.

EDIT: Original user had it for a couple years and it came to me in a Black/White Sony box. At my local camera store the same lens comes in a Sony Orange box. Does that make a difference?

Thank you!!
