7D Mark II shoots multiple exposures while set on one shot.

My 7D Mark II shoots anywhere from two to six exposures while the camera is set on ONE SHOT.  All of the exposure discussions I see are tutorials on how to shoot multiple exposures.  What I want is how to NOT shoot multiple exposures.  I use this camera in my business and I cannot handle this.  Anyone else with this problem?  It does not do it if set on manual focus, but I need auto focus.  I am shooting beach portraits and it is just too fast moving for manual focus.  Many thanks for any ideas.  I sent it back to Canon once, they charged me over $400 to clean it and sent it back doing the same thing.  I got my money back, but need the camera to work properly.
