I'm getting better images with electronic shutter.

I've been doing some testing lately where every time I stop to take a shot I do one with the mechanical shutter and one with the electronic shutter. I'm talking about landscape and nature pictures where nothing is moving. Almost without fail it seems that the photo with the electronic shutter is a touch sharper than the one with the mechanical shutter. Probably trivially so but visible at 100%. I could attach samples and I'm happy to but they wouldn't really prove anything. Has anyone else had this experience? Most of the time I hear people saying to shoot with the mechanical shutter unless you need the electronic shutter.

Thanks.
