Tilt-Shift Like the Crack Cocaine of Lenses

I was able to save up to acquire a Canon TS/E 24MM lens and it has been enjoyable fooling around with it.  Unfortunately when I have it every picture ends up having me twisting and tilting and shifting every which way whether or not the scene warrants it! I can't stop myself...  It is actually a pretty good 24MM lens in general without any tilt-shift. It does seem to be prone to a bit of flare if you are not careful.  I think that for the most part you can replicate the same effects in LR or PS, but trying to learn the physics (if that's the right word) of how it works on the actual lens the old-fashioned way is very interesting indeed.  Here's two examples from the other day.

Blackwater NWR in Maryland. Not much wildlife action so I switched to Landscapes.

Passed these trees a hundred times. Finally decided to stop.
