On LX-10, does using "half press release" give poorer focus?

Hi,

A quick question.

The Panasonic LX-10 has two settings. "Half press release" will fire the shutter on a half press, rather than waiting for you to fully press the shutter. There is also a setting that controls whether the shutter fires on achievement of focus or on when it's pressed (presumably regardless of focus).

My question is whether using "half press release" will diminish the accuracy of autofocus if you have set the shutter to fire only on the achievement of focus. I.e., are the two settings of "half press release" and "fire on focus" compatible? If they are, I would assume that "half pressing" the shutter would activate the shooting mechanism, but the camera would not actually shoot until focus was achieved. Is that what happens, or is there some diminution of focus?

Thank you.
