Lens sharpness RX100/M5 vs Rx100/M6
3

Slower lenses have, in general, always been "sharper" than fast ones because they're easier to design and construct.  But in this instance, although slower (and longer), optically the M6 is even more complex than the M5.

I have always been impressed with the sharpness of my RX100s, especially the M5, and I wonder if anyone has compared the M5 and M6 results.

As an aside, I love my M5 and didn't even consider upgrading to an M6, then yesterday I was at Best Buy to look at the new iPhones (not available yet), and to my amazement they had an M6 on display.  I picked it up and instantly felt that the M6 self-erecting viewfinder makes my M5 feel like an antique and the M6 handles as naturally as my old film Leicas.   It's hard to believe that such a little difference would change the entire feel of the camera.

To put it bluntly: I WANT ONE!
