The original 5D belonged to the same generation as the 30D and the 1D Mark III and 1Ds Mark III. These cameras are not among those offering the capability for users to access shutter count information. (In contrast, both the 1D Mark II series and the Mark IV did.)  This information could be provided by Canon itself, but they no longer service these bodies, so I don't suspect you'll have much luck from here forward.
