In Search for Colorado Gold

Kathleen and I took a short 2 day trip to  the mountains to celebrate our 40th anniversary.  We first went to Gunnison, Colorado and spent the afternoon of the first day exploring the area between Crested Butte and Gothic Colorado, perfect day, passing clouds and great sun and beautiful landscapes.  On day 2 we drove over Kebler Pass and saw great aspen stands and evergreen forests,  We finished our 2nd day in Aspen, Colorado where we celebrated our anniversary,  On day 3 we drove over Independence Pass and headed back home.  It was rainy and cloudy on day 3 and we did not take any photos.  However, we made many snaps on the first 2 days.  These are all my shots taken with the sd Quattro and 8-16 mm lens or the 18-35mm ART lens.
