Still loving Epson's hot press papers
1

I have been using Epson's Hot Press Bright and Natural Papers for several years now. Every time I start to research other papers I end up sticking with these due to reviews or price. In fact, with the paper rebates that Epson seems to have going on almost all the time (buy 3, get a rebate back for 1), I don't see a smooth matte paper of this thickness for less. I tend to use the natural for b&w landscape work, and the bright for color. I will use PK papers like Red River's Palo Duro SoftGloss or some of the baryta papers for other subject matter (urban images, street photography).

There doesn't seem to be any recent comparisons with regard to DMax or tonal gradations online for the smooth matte paper variety.

I would love to hear about smooth matte papers that people are using that are of better quality or are just as good for less cost.

Thanks,

Michael
