...and what you are measuring. If we are talking FF interchangeable lens cameras in the US:

Are we talking mirrorless FF market? Right now Canon has a 0% market share in FF mirrorless. Sony started with a 0% share and is now on top. Sony going from 0% to#1 is a much greater change than Canon staying at 0% market share. All of Sony's FF mirrorless users were either new to the market or former users of another brand.

Some of those users will have come from Canon. People on this site have and others have done straw polls to get an idea of how many Sony FF mirrorless users have come from Canon. Just given the shear numbers of Canon users it would stand to reason that more of them would come from Canon than other brands.
