How to replicate the soft proof effect

Hi folks.

I am previewing my images in Lightroom CC with an Epson Photo Rag ICC Profile and viewing the preview with the 'Simulate Paper & Ink' box checked.

I really like the way the image looks with the 'Simulate Paper & Ink' box checked. It creates a more vintage look. Thing is, I don't know how to create this for my sRGB images, when I'm not previewing. Any ideas?

I don't know what Lightroom is actually doing to the image so I can't understand how to replicate this look. I guess it's adding an overlay, but it's not a black/white/grey overlay at reduced opacity, for example, as that doesn't give the same effect.

It's not doing anything that I can see to my image in the Lightroom settings, such as changing the tone curve etc.

Any pointers would be great.

Thanks in advance.
