So is Canon being greedy again?

They want $490 for the new BG-E22 battery grip. The 5D Mark IV grip, the BG-E20, is only $290. Even when it first came out I think it was only $350 but I can't remember even though I own one.

I think the price is ridiculous. Also can't find a single image that shows the back side of the grip that shows the controls. What are they hiding back there? I know it doesn't have thumb stick. Does it have a second slide control?

And what is the issue with the $190 external PD-E1 USB Power Adapter? And people were complaining about paying $89 for a Sony battery charger.

$300 more for the body and $142 more for the battery grip and $190 more for external USB charging totals $642 more than the Sony A7iii. Not a trivial amount for sure.
