Too early to tell.

As a 6d user - I see the EOS R as a great upgrade with some minor things I dislike. If it turns out to be a winner, I'll probably upgrade once some deals come out like a bundle with the basic adapter for under 2k.

Positives compared to the 6d:

Better sensor, better AF, Eye-AF, tilty flippy screen (The T3i was my first Canon and I miss this feature), more FPS, lower cost compared to the other upgrade path (5dIV)

Negatives: Adapter needed, 1 card slot (really not a big deal to me).

It is unknown how good the camera really is at this point in terms of AF performance, battery life, how L's work with the adapter in all situations - so I'm holding out for the updated firmware and longer term reviews. I'm also really intrigued with the idea of used EF-S lenses on it. I'm really curious to see how some of them would perform.

With all the talk about the Sony A7III - I am intrigued, but unless I want to sell off my L's and go to Sony native, I'll have to add another 300-500 for an adapter. At that point, what benefit am I getting? I don't need the best camera, I'm just looking for a straightforward upgrade from my 6d.
