Lightroom - somehow I now have two versions

Somehow, I have inadvertently ended up with CC and Classic on my Mac. There appears to be no difference when they are open in terms of how they appear, which is probably why I never noticed.

One has more images in than the other by about 2000.

CC is no use to me as here in my part of NZ, internet is very slow - far too slow to make cloud storage of a large RAW file library worth the effort.

I THOUGHT I was using Classic. However CC is the one with more images in.

I do use CC on my iPad when travelling but had assumed that was syncing to Classic on the iMac at the office.

Even more confusing is the fact that on the Adobe Creative Cloud download/update widget, Lightroom CC is not shown as installed. However, I can open two versions of Lightroom on the iMac, one of which says it is Adobe Photoshop Lightroom Classic CC and the other says it is Adobe Photoshop Lightroom CC.

Anyone suggest how best to clean this up?!
