That said, it's my opinion that, since I shoot RAW, getting the color I want is a non-issue with regards to differences between the sensors.

Wait until you get a Sony.

Unlikely -- I'm more thinking the R or Z, but leaning towards the R since it's a pain to switch systems. When I look at Nikon photos, I can't ever recall thinking that Nikon color was worse than Canon's.

I never said that.

Well, the Z uses Sony sensors.

When I say Sony colors, I mean Sony camera colors. Sometimes I say that clearly, sometimes not. In any case, Nikon puts different CFA on their sensors and none of my criticism about Sony colors applies to other brand (even though they have differences among themselves). I find the Oly and the Fuji colors very appealing, in different ways, and they both use Sony sensors. And then that Fuji MF camera...

...the R had the Sony sensor assembly (to include IBIS), like the Z6 does, with Canon's CFA, which sensor would you prefer? Not only would I take the Sony sensor assembly, I'd have the R on pre-order.

If Canon can suppress the thermal noise, I would gladly take that sensor. I am saying that because I love taking long exposures. Even if they do not, I would still take it, I guess. I am assuming that Canon can take care of the sensor reflections, too.

Now, imagine that Canon can get the Nikon version of that sensor (the D850 or so) with Canon's CFA and an AA filter... I would preorder it.
