As a 6D2 owner...

I like it too. Very much. But together with the RF 24-105/4 L it's too expensive for my amateurish camera budget. I have a 5D2 with EF 24-105/4 L now (among other EF lenses, L and non-L) and I was thinking of upgrading to 6D2. But I hesitated, waiting for the FF ML. Now when it's introduced I'm not so sure any more. As I said above I like it. The sensor and the AF system seems to be very good. The ergonomy as well. But I think it misses some features that my little m43 Olympus had. Like IBIS and smart eye AF with which I could choose between left or right eye. I can live without that but I can't understand why Canon didn't equipped the R with those for a ML camera obviously more or less natural features.

I could buy a R with adapter and continue using my EF 24-105 L. But for 10 000 SEK less I can buy a new 6D2 which isn't much bigger.

But I really like mirrorless cameras.

It's difficult.

...who very much likes his 6D2, and got it as a refurb for $1280 after tax, I would be hard-pressed not to recommend a 6D2 at the same (or lower) price as an upgrade to the 5D2.  That said, if the R falls to $1899 within a year (new or as a refurb) and includes an EF adapter, then unless the 6D2 falls below $1K, I'd wait and get the R, myself.
