Re: EOS APS C dslr is dead. Better move to M or R

You guys got it all very wrong: M ( mirrorless APS ) has a very bright future. If any product line will be cut and phased out it will be the APS dslr’s - or Rebel series for Canon.

These chunky cameras are not optimized for the production cost and optical performance benefits of the mirrorless M cameras.

M series is optimized for weight, performance and mass production. Keeping a limited line up of lenses and camera bodies helps to keep costs down ( and keep margins healthy ).

For the high end the future will be full frame, mirrorless .. with cameras like the R.

The photo enthuiasts can migrate to M, the proconsumers and pros to R. (I assume some pro’s will still see benefits from dslr’s vs mirrorless .. so that segement will probably stay around a bit longer. ).

And if you use M as your route to full frame : just buy L glass with it.
