Hi, I'm using a Canon 600D, and that's all I have. A Canon 600D dslr and a tripod. Later on today I will be taking pictures for my friend, I'm doing a few research on how can I make my background pitch back ( Or as they call it, Invisible Black Drop ) while the subject that I want to focus on is bright. I tried using manual mode and with my built in flash but the results were not good at all.
I heard that we could do the same trick using photoshop OR lightroom, hence I am hoping to get some advice or tutorial from here.

Welcome to the Forum I-94,

Excellent advice so far.

My suggestion would be to not use the built-in flash. Do you have a work-light? Or a lamp maybe?

Can I ask what it is you will be photographing? Animate or inanimate? Moving or non-moving. A person? (headshot? full length?). Is it small like jewelry? Large like a motorcycle? A camera lens? A knife? A chainsaw? A subwoofer? A sofa? A cat?

We can provide some more specific tips knowing that.

TIA!
