I have the FE 55 f1.8 as well. Like you, I'm hoping that Sony will wow us with an up market APS-C body, more to compete with the Fuji XT3/Nikon D500. I haven't been tempted by any Sony APS-c offerings since I got my A6000+ZA16-70 F4 and 70-200 f4. Bought them all at the same time at the now defunct Sony Store and basically 'called it a day". Actually, I bought all the Touit primes and Sigma pancake primes, and then called it a day. That was years ago, and credit to the "little" Sony APS-c market that while not "fancy" it got the job done for most of what the "pro-sumer" users would likely need.

You've got an awesome lineup! What's your ultra wide lens with the Sony APS-C e-mount?

I've got a cruise coming up. I'm ready to go with my Canon DSLR and three lenses but a few of the ship port excursions are at least 9 hours long and entail a lot of walking. My original plan is to do the walkabouts with the 5DS and 24-105/4 L IS and leave the two other lenses in our cabin. However, this gear might be too heavy. Thus I might bring my A6000 gear instead. The only thing with the latter is that I don't have a UWA lens. I need to see more commitment from Sony in expanding the ApSC e-mount format before I buy a Sony 10-18/4 OSS. Thus looking forward to the Sony announcement in a few days (I hope).

Years ago Zeiss had a blow out sale of their Touit I got the 12mm as my only ultra wide for the Sony line.  I also, "for fun" have a Sigma 20mm F1.8 paired with a Metabones speed booster.  Completely pointless rig of course.

Personally, when I travel I'm more likely to pair my M3+11-22 STM or SL1+10-18 STM.

Any of these three solutions are small enough, that I can select a different format for the longer focal lengths.  So, in my mind I have an ultrawide solution, and then a completely separate solution and body+lens combinations for wide to super telephoto.
