I would add a number six as being very limited AF performance. As for firmware updates, Canon's record on this is pretty sketchy. Don't hold your breath waiting on them.

Are you referring to actual AF or FPS during AF.

It is mostly centered around tracking. The frames rates are so low that tracking would be easier but eye AF isn't available at all in tracking mode. It is a one show wonder, literally.

I was never interested in this camera to begin with it would have had to be on the level of the 1DXMKII speed at a 5D price and sensor to get me to buy it and that was never going to happen. But the FPS in tracking is disappointing.

I can forgive the AF issues more than the fps issues. The AF issues are harder to deal with as a lot of R&D is needed to get it right. However, fps is a straightforward matter and there is no excuse for such abysmal performance in this area. Maybe the AF is so poor that it keeps the fps so low?

My guess is read speed from the sensor since it is using dual pixel

It seems all issues likely find their root in poor processor performance and/or an inherent problem with Canon's implementation of DPAF.
