My current bodies are 5+. I am with you that it is a bit disappointed to not seeing IBIS in EOS-R at the current model. That would be excellent and really handy for me as well. EOS-R has many features that I like.

However, I still like to learn more about AF point selection when using EVF. It is unclear whether you have to use touch screen or the 4 way navigation button can be used when shooting through EVF. If it only offers touch AF point selection when using EVF, then I would like to see in my hand first. I am left eye dominant so the body will be positioned more to the right or my face would cover most of the body. Using either right hand or left hand to touch the screen from either side might not be too convenient.

I would like to get a feel of the body or read more review about this first. I do not necessarily wait for the price drop. Oh, I really would like to see basic adapter included as a promotion.

My understanding is you use the touchscreen as a joystick and that you can use it as absolute or relative (just moving from where the point is) with sensivity control.

Should work well for you if it works well for anyone.

That is what I am hoping for. I saw Canon still operation. It shows you can use the 4 way nav. button to move focus point on the LCD. I am not sure that also applies to the EVF. I can't think of any reasons why not but I would like to be sure.
