Tamron, In Particular 28-300, On Z6 with FTZ.

I saw a post on the Nikon Z Forum that said that two Tamron lenses -- the only two tested -- did not work with the FTZ adapter while all Sigma lenses did.

That was worrying and disappointing since I am hoping to use a Tamron 28-300 on a Z6 rather than the Nikon equivalent -- the price difference, obviously, the main draw.

Yes, I also asked on the Z Forum.

But, anybody here who can shed some light on this.

Are there any valid technical reasons why Tamron doesn't work and Sigma does.

I would have thought, naively obviously, that a Tamron F-mount it would work with the FTZ like any other F-mount. Electrically and mechanically the Tamrons have to be 99% compatible otherwise they would not work natively on Nikon DSLRs.

This is really bothering me.

Thanks.
