Sadly it's time to go for me.

I had the original 6D and it was and still is excellent but my work has meant I need a more hybrid stills/video camera. I have been waiting for a suitable Canon and sadly it's never come. I have to ask how long must I wait? I waited for the 5DIV and was let down. I waited for the 6DII and was massively let down. I said I'll wait for their FF mirrorless and I was let down once more. Years of let downs is something I don't fancy waiting for anymore.

What has surprised me about all this waiting is how

Canon doesn't produce great bodies, but great lenses.

different the attitudes of each company are. Just compare the Fuji X-T3 and Sony A7III release compared to the Canon EOS R release.

Sony lenses are overpriced, pagued with decentering issues and not that great overall.

X-t3 is just hype. No ibis. Crop sensor at very high price. Af that is supposed to be great but will still lag behind dslr. Fuji always gets rave reviews.

eThose companies fill me with more confidence for the future. Sadly long gone are the days of the 5DII and 550D Canon.
