Canon long term time lapse for building site documentation

I would like to use a Canon 6D II to document the progression on a building site.

My idea so far is to use the AC Adapter to continuously power the camera and the built-in Intervalometer (set to unlimited images) to take images for over a year. Also something like a modem to connect everything to the internet and stream the images to the cloud or another PC (basically tethered shooting over 4G/internet). Everything will be housed in a Pelican case.
My concerns:
1. Does the Intervalometer really just continue forever or does it automatically shut off at some point?
2. How to get the images off the camera via internet? The built-in function does not allow data transfer and intervalometer usage at the same time. Furthermore it also does not "stream" the images continuously; you have to select and download them one by one.
Hopefully you guys can help me out with this one...
Ben
