This is based on nothing. You sound like a prophet.

And you sound argumentative.  Sony have a long history of poor lenses with corner/edge softness, especially in this type of lens.  It's the reason I'm often amused when someone abandons Canon for Sony.  And it's the reason so many people using Sony often select Canon lenses to mount on the Sony cameras via an adapter. Perhaps this might be why Sony keep outsourcing their important lenses to Zeiss and Sigma?  Those who follow Sony closely will actually tell you that the Zeiss lenses Sony sends to reviewers are handpicked and often reassembled.  As for the lenses they supply the general public, corner softness and decentered lenses are commonplace. Earlier this very year, Sony even acknowledged focusing issues with some of their E-mount zoom lenses (which they vowed to address).  it's nothing new for them.  It's not as common with Canon when dealing with similar lenses.
