So, the K-70 is affected as well? Not good sign for Pentax. Very, very sad..

I don't think Pentax cares very much, K-70 and K-3 lines are at dead end, all eggs are placed in a K-1 and heavy/bulky/expensive lenses basket now. According to some vocal posters on the forum, catering to "budget" customers nearly bankrupted the brand, so then why continue it.

So, we have discontinuation of producing good, relatively inexpensive bodies, because they don't create profit, and only serve to continue feeding useless Pentax users who keep using cheaper and legacy lenses, instead of buying new Pentax lenses (it they ever came up).

The new focus is to switch to offering heavy, premium, quality lenses, which make money, and have people use them with the only offered Pentax FF body, which is basically continuing the budget oriented theme of the previous flagship APS-C bodies.

Very neat....
