Sigma 17-50 f/2.8 and D7500 compatibility issue

Hi everyone,

I believe that there is a compatibility  issue with the D7500 and the 17-50 f/2.8 lens when using the on board flash.

when using this combo i can only take 1 shot using the flash, when i try to take a second shot the shutter release button does not work. The only way to get around this issue i am aware of, is to turn the camera off and on after each shot.

I have tried using both manual and auto modes, and both of these in continuous slow and single shot.

I do not have this issue when using my Sigma 50mm f/1.4 Art lens with my D7500, or when using my 17-50 with my D7100 camera.

All this leads me to believe that it is specific to this combination.

Is anyone else aware of this issue? Is Sigma aware of this issue?

Thanks
