About a month ago someone posted 'undoubtable' proof that m4/3s can't do BIFs and that m4/3s focusing just isn't good enough and that this could be seen especially on distant subjects, I think distant was more than 10 metres.. As I remember it the example used was a not great gull picture cropped to show just how bad the focus was and definitely proving that m4/3s would never be good enough.

In response. The picture below is a Redshank a bird that is probably travelling 5 times faster than the speed of the gull. I guess it's about 50m away, yet I can capture birds like this with my G9 and 100-400 with some success. The second picture is a heavy crop which shows that even after cropping the bird still appears to be in focus. OK the crop is a step too far and is never going to be a wall hangar but I think there is enough there to show m4/3s capabilities when it comes to heavy crops and to show that m4/3s focusing is as good maybe even better than the competition.
