Update

Well, my X-E2 arrived.  It was just as the seller described.  It seemed lightly used and there are just a few small paint rubs on the base.

I had to go to the post office in Juliette, Georgia (they filmed "Fried Green Tomatoes" there).  I brought along my X-E3, an SD card and some spare batteries.  The camera fired right up, but seemed "clunkier" than I remembered.  Test shots looked fine.  I checked the firmware and it was version 1.

When I got home, I followed the instructions and reset the camera.  I then loaded the latest firmware on a formatted SD card and loaded it.  That's where the troubles began.  I thought I had bricked it, because there was no LCD display.  I was able to see the EVF, but nothing was working properly.  Even turning the switch to off didn't turn off the camera, I had to remove the battery.  I contacted the seller who assured me it was working fine when he shipped it.   I called Fuji and they said it sounded like a bad logic and power board.  The next day I decided to look at it one more time.  I fiddled around and finally got to the reset screen on the menu.  I pressed "OK" and the camera came to life!  It's now working great.

The firmware update has made it a different camera. The menu layout and display is totally different for the better.  It is much more responsive, especially with AF and the blackout after exposure is much shorter.

It is a different camera from my X-E3 and it points out how many improvements Fuji made with the newest model.  Yet, the X-E2 is very serviceable and takes wonderful images. It works wonderfully as a second body to my X-E3 and I'm glad I bought it.
