- I recently upgraded from canon 650D (t4i rebel) to the canon 800D (t7i rebel).
- while playing with it indoors I noticed in Av mode it always selects the highest ISO I allowed in that mode with aperture 5.6 or higher. Even when internal flash was activated and also when external flash was activated.
- I compared with the 650D (t4i) and it selected 400 ISO consistently while flash was selected and active with same lens and aperture.
- Note: when I stepped down to 3.5 or really slowed down the shutter speed, it finally selected a smaller ISO but still higher than the 650D.
- can anyone give a reasonable explanation to this?
Are you set to Auto ISO as well? See pages 152 - 153 of the pdf manual
