Square or Rectangular Softbox for Clamshell/Headshot Lighting?

I'm looking to put together a small studio setup for myself - I've been shooting headshots for about a year, all with natural lighting, but I'd love to have a studio setup to add a little more consistency and flexibility in when I can be taking my shots!

I'm trying to get catchlights like the ones in the photo below using two strobes angled in this sort of clamshell style. This is a pretty popular style for headshots in NY! My question is, is it better to use square softboxes or rectangular for this kind of look? I can't find any info or recommendations on this anywhere! Any thoughts help!

I don't own the rights to this photo, it is just being used as a reference - posted originally by Adler Fashion Photography
