First click with Voigtlander Nokton Classic 40mm f1.4 SC

Browsing stalls at a second hand camera fair in Bangkok today, tried a used Voigtlander 40mm with a K&F concept adapter on my X-T2, first shot was of the stall owner.  Bought it after some largely ineffective negotiations.😆

Put it on the X-E2 for it's inaugural 'lens portrait', as I think it suits the rangefinder look.

This is my first manual lens, but focus seems OK with nice blue peaking. Lens flare is quite severe, but I think this is a 'feature' of the single coating?

I'll be trying portraits when my 'model' gets back from visiting her Mother, and black and white seems to be recommended for this lens.

Any tips for an adapted, manual lens virgin?
