Why no Mark ll XF lenses?

Fujifilm has two versions of their XC 16-50 and XC 50-230mm lenses, but has not officially updated any of the XF lenses, AFAIK. Is it possible that Fujifilm is updating some XF lenses internally without designating them as such? I ask this because I recall someone insisting in a thread that one of the prime lens motors was better in a more recently manufactured lens than an older one they had owned. Unfortunately I can’t find that thread now though. I am now wondering if buying new has an advantage over buying older used lenses in terms of performance?
