XF10 - S L O W?

I've put a question mark on this title as I can't be sure exactly how the XF10 I just tried in the shop today was set up, though I did change a few things back to default in the Q menu first. But as somebody who has used all the "slow" Fujifilm cameras in the past 5-6 years with no real issue, this one quite surprised me. In decent light in a shopping arcade it seemed snappy enough for my purposes but when I took various shots in lower light in the shop itself (counter, displays) the shutter lag took me by surprise! I can't be sure this was "normal" behaviour, but if anyone is buying / testing an XF10, check out performance indoors or low light situations first. I am quite interested in the XF10 as a pocketable option for family and social snapshots, but I don't feel I could cope with this AF. Didn't try the snap option unfortunately.

A bit of research online came up with this video from Asia...it's does make me wonder whether Fujifilm have overly "dumbed-down" what would otherwise be quite an interesting camera for an audience broader than just than smartphone users. I'm not even sure it's quick enough for them!
