Taken with an iPhone....

I've seen a few shots posted lately, on FB pages, which had text along with them, which read, "Taken with an iPhone". And each time I saw this, I immediately thought, "Yep. Looks like it was taken with an iPhone, alright". But then I always wondered, were they saying, "I took this with an iPhone, and look how great it is" ? ....or, "I took this with an iPhone, so that's my excuse" lol Hopefully the latter.

Anyway, hardly a day goes by that I don't skim over something talking about how amazingly fantastic, bombastic the new camera phones are becoming, yet still, I almost never see the kinds of artsy photos I prefer, taken with one. For now, I'm going to have to stand by my opinion, that camera phones are good for reference shots, in good light, which are only going to be used for posting online  / social media.

But for creating aesthetically pleasing art, which you may want to make large prints with, your still going to need a real camera.

Your thoughts ?
