Olympus says OM-D is “weatherproof”
4

This from the front page of the Get Olympus site . . .

SMALLER. LIGHTER. WEATHERPROOF.

OM-D WEATHERPROOF KIT with a pic of a E-M5 II in a shower of water

Seems that the marketing team at Olympus Imaging is happy to stretch ‘weather resistant’ to ‘weatherproof’. This could be good news for anyone currently in the situation where Olympus is rejecting their warranty claim because the camera got wet in rainy weather

EDIT: and digging a little deeper  we see the LEARN MORE on the E-M5 II

“Plus, its all metal body is sealed for protection against dust and moisture for shooting in extreme conditions”

Yep, they use the word “sealed”
