6D focus issues

Ive been shooting professionally for 15 years and Ive owned dozens of Canon bodies, never had an issue like this, even on cheap Rebel models. Picked up a used 6D and did two shoots with it in the studio with a 100 f/2.8 IS and a 50 f/1.8 and it hunted for focus in the far right AF point quite a bit but most the shots were fine. Second shoot with the 50 came out ok as well, all shot at f/11-13. Just did a natural light shoot with it today and it was awful. Every 4th or 5th photo was completely out of focus shooting a brand new 85 f/1.8 at 2.8 Ive used this setup for 3 years prior to this and never had these issues. I noticed that it looked focus easier on the AF point on the right between the center and far right point and most of those pics were in focus and the middle point was good too but still had problems with completely out of focus shots. Just tested it outdoors with my 50 and 85 and same thing, several out of focus shots, no rhyme or reason. Is this thing just a lemon?
