How to reset D850 File number sequence?

Anybody know how?

I like to keep my image file numbers close to my actual shutter count. I sometimes do focus stacking with electronic shutter and sometines run FoCal which increments shutter count without leaving files. That's the why.

Until the D850, I was always able to "reset" the file numbers created by the camera by shooting a jpeg and manually renaming it to the number I wanted. Put it back in the camera, take one more shot, and the camera(s) would begin file naming from that number.

The D850 is stubborn. It retains the file name sequence it had and ignores my jpeg number.

My file 9385 has a shutter count of 11061.

It's a small thing, but it bugs me. Any help?
