Mirrorless size advantage a fantasy?
8

I was surprised to find out recently that the Sony FE 50mm F1.8's length of 69mm is almost the same as the 70mm length of the combination of PK adapter+Pentax-F 50mm F1.7:

Seems like Sony FE lenses are designed to revert the reduction in flange distance compared to DSLR mounts.  DSLR such as K-mount cameras may appear larger when comparing body size alone to their mirrorless counterparts, but when one adds lens to the camera bodies, mirrorless doesn't seem to have any size advantage.
