Hi Ben and all,

Thanks for this review. I actually went to get eos m50 with the kit plus maybe adapter and nifty fifty but ended up buying much cheaper eos m100 with the kit 15-45 and 22mm prime. So far for more than a week i'm learning with it as i came from canon g7x PnS. This is my first ILC and getting used to this setup. So far compared to my g7x which was capable of f1.8 but 1 inch sensor, i can see how m100 can give me excellent result in low lights especially with the 22mm f2 lens. I've few questions anyone can help me here:

1) Is there a need for the lens hood? any benefits in terms of light/flare/quality of images?

2) Is there a need for the filter that gets attached to the lens ? i think there are quite few types like with ND/Polarizer... or simple filter to protect the lens?

3) General care for this type of ILC cameras?

4) Any tips and tricks found so far with the m100?

5) Do canon like Fuji active in firmware updates?

Thanks in advance.

Here i attach few shots i've taken so far.
