Hi. I'm new to this forum and hope you can offer some advice.

I have a Lumix G7 camera which came with a 14-42 lens. The camera has micro four thirds fitting.

I want a new lens with better Zoom and came across this Olympus ED 40-150 on eBay https://rover.ebay.com/rover/0/0/0?mpre=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.ebay.co.uk%2Fulk%2Fitm%2F173452051146

I assum that will fit my camera? Will it work with the auto focus? Are there any other lenses you can recommend? I'll need to but used.

I have that lens and it works with my G7 just fine BUT unless price is your main criteria, I would get the 45-150 Lumix because this has OIS. The M.Zuiko has no stabilisation.

In the right conditions, the M.Zuiko does produce very good images, but the Lumix is just as good and easier to use.

This.

Don't buy it!   The G7 has no in-body image stabilisation and neither has that lens. It is altogether too long to be without. Get a Lumix lens, which is stabilised, for that focal length range. Ideally a 14-140 so you can leave it on most of the time. It is a superb all-round lens for the G7.
